Privacy
Clak collects nothing. Nothing leaves your devices except the keystrokes you send.
- No internet
- Neither app ever connects to a network. There's no code for it.
- No tracking
- No accounts, analytics, ads or tracking.
- Your typing
- Goes only over Bluetooth to the device you paired, like a physical keyboard. It isn't recorded or stored.
- On your device
- Your settings, like shortcuts and preferences. Deleting the app deletes them.
- Clipboard
- The Mac app reads it only when you use Paste to Device.
- Permissions
- Bluetooth, to act as a keyboard. On the Mac also Input Monitoring and Accessibility, to capture keys while you forward them. You can revoke them anytime in System Settings.
This applies to Clak for macOS and Clak Remote for iOS, both made by sryo. Since no data is collected from anyone, none is collected from children. If this ever changes, this page changes first and the release notes will say so. The source is public, so you can check every line of this yourself.
