FAQ

Why not just use browser bookmarks?

Because the browser owns them. Switch from Chrome to Safari and your reading pile stays behind. Stow keeps them beside whichever browser you happen to be using.

Which browsers?

Chrome, Arc, Safari, Brave, or any window it can track. It also runs on its own if you'd rather not attach it to anything.

Is there an iPhone app?

Yes, with a share extension for saving links from anywhere and a widget for the home screen.

Does it sync?

Through your own iCloud. There's no account to make and no server of mine in the middle; on each device the data is a single data.json.

I have bookmarks in Arc.

Import them. Stow reads Arc's StorableSidebar.json and brings across pinned tabs and folder structure.

Is it free?

Yes, MIT licensed.
